Church Gardens
My church's building is a fifteen sided structure with expansive garden beds. I've been delegated the entire responsibility of planting and caring for them. Recently, I transplanted a large amount of volunteer Coneflower/Echinacea plants to more appropriate locations in the beds. It's looking better and better!

Sailboats on the Delaware
We drove through the heart of old New Castle (founded in 1640) and down to the boardwalk for a quick walk on the trail alongside the Delaware.

Asian Lunch with a Friend
Out and about with a Filipino friend, we decided to go Asian. Yum! The sweet and spicy dressing in the little dish when drizzled over shrimp pasta with lemongrass made it have impressive zing and character. So good!

My Morning
Mornings start with a good cup of coffee and some praise and worship music. A slightly out of tune piano is better than none at all. Singing and playing a song from my heart is integral to developing the focus of the day.

Peacock Blue Ensemble
My dear friend, Amber from PA has inspired me to start creating outfits from existing wardrobe items. I came up with this Peacock inspired outfit today. Amber is trying to make 30 new outfits in 30 days. I know I can't get that far, but I will see what I can come up with.

Not So Modern Bedroom
If you follow me on Pinterest, you know my tastes are becoming more modern...but right now, I'm enjoying my cozy bedroom complete with the braided wool rug I finished several years ago that has been rolled up and stowed in my cedar chest to prevent moth damage.

Today's Project: Calligraphy
Sometimes it's just really a lovely thing to practice writing addresses...especially when it's your brand new address! A friend at church has asked me to help her with the naming of her non-profit cookie company to benefit missions. We were working on it last night. Back and forth the texts were flying...sharing ideas. She settled on a name I suggested! Even the slogan I made up....she liked that, too! So, you know what I'm working on today! The logo in calligraphy. Here we go!

Whipping Up Some Manna
One of my very favorite desserts: cheesecake. I whipped this up last week-end for my family here in Delaware. They loved it! There was an abundance of cream cheese. Lest it go to waste I made two cakes without a recipe. Who needs a recipe when it's so easy to put together?

My Room Temporarily
Thankfully, my friends have loaned me a headboard. Not my style, but I think it will suffice for a bit.

Spring Blooms Early
Sometimes 4:30 AM is the best time to have a French Press and get crackin' on the next quilt project!
Vintage fabrics from my Gran'ma Eva, quilter
and a few more from a favorite quilting shop down the road.

My Little Magazine
Sometimes it's nice to discover treasures in dusty boxes. Here's a copy of one of my little magazines published almost nine years ago!

Little Quilt Shop
Dashed up to a favorite quilt shop recently in a neighboring country town. I noticed several things for the first time: the antique door with a fascinating iron pull and the ancient scrabble game in the shop window. So quaint!

Heavenly Sandwich
Yes, you guessed it! That's an avocado sandwich with buttermilk bread, real mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic and a spritz of lemon juice. Weird? Maybe. But quite delicious!
